REFRIGERATOR CONDENSER CLEANING

By doing simple manufacturer recommended maintenance on your appliances,

you can save $280 a year!

Manufacturers recommend cleaning your condenser every 3-12 months. Having a clean and properly operating condenser prevents wasted electricity and increases the life of your appliance.

WHAT IS CONDENSOR CLEANING?

Each year we remind you that your refrigerator needs some attention to make it through the summer!

Sub-Zero recommends vacuuming your condenser every 3-6 months while other manufacturers recommend every 6 months or once a year. A dirty condenser may cause your fridge to run warm, waste electricity and significantly reduce the life of your appliance.

The refrigerator and freezer run 24/7 and during the summer, they have to work harder. Our summer special ensures that these appliances will continue to run efficiently during the summer months and the rest of the year.

The Condenser & What it Does

Condenser coils help your refrigerator dissipate heat, keeping it running with cool efficiency for years without interruption. For a fridge to run at its peak, the coils must remain clean and unobstructed by dirt, hair, or other material that will prevent heat dispersion. Otherwise, your fridge or freezer will work harder to keep itself cool, wearing engine motor components down until they break.

ENERGY SAVINGS + HEALTH BENEFITS

  1. Save money when you save energy!  Condenser cleanings can save you more than $200 a year according to a Reliant Energy study.  A Stanford study found that 8-12% of home energy usage could be cut with efficient appliance operation.
  2. Remove 70% of harmful allergens and bacteria!  The CDC reported that 70% of dust mites are collected in the kitchen from the refrigerator fan.
  3. Extend the life of your appliance!  EnergyStar states that the manufacturer’s use and care manual warns that the failure to maintain and clean the condensers will result in premature failure of the appliance and could void your manufacturer warranty.
